Case areas for complaints

The Parliamentary Ombudsman carries out a subsequent written assessment of complaints against the public administration. The complaints we receive concern nearly all areas of law in which the public administration operates. The Ombudsman also considers complaints concerning tardy case processing and the public administration’s failure to reply.

The basis for the Parliamentary Ombudsman’s investigations is mainly complaints received from citizens, but the Ombudsman also raises matters on its own initiative.
